Journal Prompt: Before the Ink is Dry
SPRAY INKS! I was gifted a whole bunch of them but never really use them. Since they are water soluble, you can’t put any kind of wet medium on top of them. That is hard for me since I like to mix all my mediums together. They also bleed through paper really easily. For this one, I took two rejected computer printed pages and sprayed greens and yellows on the bottom and blues and purples on the top for my background. I then started to take other recycled pieces of printer paper and spray them with a mixture of the sprays I have. When they dried, I cut them into organic circles and started to layer them on top of each other to see what would work well together. I remembered I had some antique india ink from when my grandmother passed. I doodled on the flowers using the ink and a fountain pen that you can change the tips.
